Rajinikanth landed in Bengaluru early on a special flight from HAL Airport to attend the Karnataka Government's Rajyotsava Awards. Rajinikanth will attend, as will Telugu star Jr NTR and Infosys' Sudha Murthy. Rajinikanth confirmed his presence at the event a few days ago and was greeted at the airport by Minister Sudhakar and other authorities.
Rajinikanth has had a lengthy connection and emotional bond with Dr. Rajkumar's family since becoming a well-known Tamil film performer. Rajinikanth has also been a well-wisher for the family, attending several of Dr. Rajkumar's and his family's events. Rajinikanth was also the special guest during Puneeth's first lead role debut.

Rajinikanth was advised not to travel during that period because of his health, and he was also unable to visit Puneeth's family.
