Superstar Rajiikanth Undergoes Surgery, Likely To Be Discharged In A Few Days

Superstar Rajinikanth recently received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in New Delhi. He has had a busy couple of days after meeting President Kovind and Prime Minister Modi. He got back to Chennai and watched the preview show of Annaatthe with his family members. However, on October 28, he was admitted to the Kauvery Hospital. While his wife Latha Rajinikanth and his team maintained that it was a regular check-up, sources revealed that he had a serious heart condition. On October 29, Kauvery hospital released a statement that suggested that Rajinikanth underwent a procedure.

The statement read, "Mr. Rajinikanth was admitted in Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai yesterday (28th Oct 2021) following an episode of giddiness. He was thoroughly evaluated by the expert panel of doctors and was advised to undergo Carotid Artery revascularization. The procedure was performed successfully today (29th Oct 2021) and he is recovering well. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days (sic).” Rajinikanth is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film, Annaatthe. Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe will release in theatres on November 4, on the occasion of Diwali.
