Suneil Shetty confirms the return of Hera Pheri trio including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and himself for a third film in the franchise

In an interview with Zoom, when Suniel was asked about Hera Pheri, he said, ” No, I don’t think it is not happening. It is still there, very much alive and it will happen. And it will happen with the three of us because we three (Suniel, Akshay Kumar, and Paresh Rawal) are very keen also.” He added, “Things have to be sorted out and they are being sorted so yes definitely the film will happen. Unfortunately, we were the ones who taught the Bollywood world how to get into the franchise business and we got out of it.” Earlier, reports in Mumbai Mirror revealed that producer Firoz Nadiadwala has brought back the original director Priyadarshan to make the 3rd installment. It is being said that all three characters will play their real age in the film. A source close to the project informed Mumbai Mirror, “It takes off from where Phir Hera Pheri ended but fast-forwards into the present. The trip is desperate again but in a completely different scenario.”
