From the last couple of years, actor Sumanth has changed his choice of scripts and is coming up with different types of stories. His Malli Raava remained as a success at the box office but the other two films, Subrahmanyapuram and Idam Jagath failed to perform well despite being experimental. Now, Sumanth is coming up with a thriller called Kapatadhaari. The actor has almost finished the dubbing of this film, which will hit the screens during summer this year.
Posting his picture from the dubbing studio, Sumanth tweeted, "#Kapatadhaari dubbing, almost done. #ComingSoon - Summer 2020." Kapatadhaari is being directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy. It is an official remake of 2019 Kannada film Kavaludhaari, directed by Hemanth M Rao.
The film is a story of a cop who sets on a mission to solve a murder mystery that happened about 30 years ago. Kavaludhaari was a blockbuster in the Kannada film industry and the makers are hoping that it will repeat the same success in Telugu as well.
G. Dhananjayan is the creative producer of this film. Lalitha Dhananjayan is bankrolling the film under the banner Creative Entertainers and Distributors. More details about the film's release will get announced by the makers very soon.
