As the release of the new Star Wars film inches closer, more and more news is being revealed about the film. Disney released a recent clip from the film that contains major spoilers. Despite J.J Abrams's openness about not keeping secrets in the clip took the fanbase by surprise.
The short clip reveals Emperor Palpatine talking to Kylo Ren, possibly revealing that it is Palpatine himself who turned Kylo into the dark side. His voice then changes to that of Darth Vader, revealing that James Earl Jones is back to play Vader once again. We can also hear Andy Serkis's Snoke in the background.
While previous trailers already revealed the presence of Emperor Palpatine in the upcoming film his role had hidden away. The recent clip suggests that he will be playing a major role in how the story turns out.
The clip's description reads, "Nothing will prepare you for the end. Watch an exclusive clip from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. See it in theaters Dec. 20!"
