'Soorarai Pottru,' directed by Sudha Kongara, starred Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in main roles and is based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. The soundtrack was composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and the film was released digitally rather than theatrically.
