While the world is struggling to keep themselves safe from the ongoing pandemic, many people are giving their best shot to help the needy. Likewise, many Bollywood celebrities are also doing their bit to contribute to the current times of crisis. Now, Sonu Sood has stepped in and offered his hotel in Mumbai for the doctors and the staff in order to treat the COVID-19 patients
Talking to a leading daily, Sonu said that it's his honour to be able to do something. "It’s my honour to be able to do my bit for the doctors, nurses and para-medical staff of our country, who have been working day and night to save people’s lives. They hail from different parts of Mumbai and need a place to rest. We have already approached municipal and private hospitals and informed them about the facility.”
Before him, the Khans of Bollywood came forward to contribute in large numbers. Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan contributed to the PM's CARE fund and other organisations. They shared a long list of their contributions detailing everything. Similarly, Salman Khan decided to contribute to the 25000 daily wage workers. His first instalment of the payment was processed a couple of days back. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan too contributed to the PM's COVID relief fund and the Maharashtra CM's fund. The government too came forward to thank these stars for their support in these times of difficulty. Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal posted an appreciation and thanking tweet for Shah Rukh Khan.
