Along with the nation, the film industry is also getting affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The government has been taking various precautionary measures to control the disease. Most of the governments have declared lockdown incurring huge losses to the economy. All the Bollywood film production houses also halted the shootings of the films. A lot of crew members including the technicians and are suffering financially with a lack of work and wages. On this note, FWICE opted to help the film people.
Sonam Kapoor too extended her hand to the federation of Western India cine employees to provide ration and daily needs for them.
"Dear Filmmakers, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) is distributing ration and daily needs materials for needy members of all it's affiliates. We request you to come together and lend a helping hand to the technicians and workers who are worst hit in this crisis... #CoronaCrisis" tweeted FWICE.
On this note, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor took the initiative. Sonam Kapoor announced that she is ready to contribute to the cause initiated by director Ashoke Pandit, president of the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA). She took her microblogging account and revealed her willingness to support the FWICE. "Ashokeji please let me know how I may contribute. I’m available on my phone," tweeted Sonam Kapoor.
Sonam Kapoor's last film is The Zoya Factor with Dulquer Salmaan. The film is currently available on Netflix. She did not sign any new movie and there is no clarity on her upcoming lineup of films now.
