Sona Mohapatra Is Furious At Indian Idol 12 For Having Anu Malik As The Judge After MeToo Allegations Against Him

Sona Mohapatra, who's popularly known for singing Ambaraariya, takes a dig at the makers of Indian Idol 12 for taking back Anu Malik as the judge of the show. She took to her Twitter handle and shared the news article against the veteran music composer which allegedly includes the statements of all the victims. "Many women called him out not only publicly but also reached out to the @NCWIndia & chairman legally," began Sona who called out Anu Malik for sexual misconduct with her. "The woman in this article took up matters formally too from South Africa, was ignored. That this guy sits on a judge’s seat on National TV is #India’s shame. @smritiirani."

Anu Malik was earlier removed from the judge's panel of Indian Idol after MeToo allegations against him. However, this season brought him back when Vishal Dadlani left the show. "That he should be around children & youngsters in a reality show in 2021 is a horror everyone should feel? @ShwetaPandit7 shared her ordeal with him when she was merely 15 years old? She was brave enough to share her trauma publicly so that other kids remain safer," Sona further wrote.
