Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor Movie To Release In Theatres On October 9

Sivakarthikeyan's rise from being a stand-up comedian to a leading Hero in Kollywood is inspirational for millions of youngsters. Despite reaching a high stature, Sivakarthikeyan remains humble and stays true to his roots. Last year, his film Doctor was slated to release in theatres. However, the film had to be postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Early this year, the makers of Doctor announced that the film will release on May 13. Due to Tamilnadu assembly elections and the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Doctor was postponed yet again. Meanwhile, rumors were rife that Doctor might release on a popular OTT platform.

However, producer Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios, took to social media to announce that Doctor will release in theatres. On September 18, the makers announced that Doctor will release on October 9. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Doctor is tipped to be a commercial entertainer with a special message. Reportedly, the film will touch on the topic of organ trafficking. The film features Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and Vinay Rai in lead roles. The doctor also features Archana Chandhoke Yogi Babu, Kalai Arasu, and Deepa in important roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
