'Sita Ramam' Suffers Ban in UAE And More GCC Countries

Hanu Raghavapudi directorial 'Sita Ramam', a film starring Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan, is a romantic drama. Rashmika Mandanna, one of the key stars in the movie,  plays a significant part as well. In addition to home circuits, the movie was expected to have a successful release abroad as well. As of right now, the UAE has banned the release of Sita Ramam. Due to concerns about religious sensitivity, Sita Ramam is reportedly prohibited in the UAE and the GCC. The film's title, which uses the names of the goddess Sita and Lord Rama, appears to be causing some concern for the different governments in the UAE.

According to rumors, the movie has been outlawed because it offends religious sensibilities. Re-censorship of the movie has reportedly been requested by the film's creators in gulf countries. Dulquer Salmaan is quite well-known in these countries due to his status as a romantic hero, so the ban might have a negative impact on the movie's box office results. The final film starring Dulquer Salmaan, Kurup, also had a similar issue. The movie was forbidden in Kuwait and other gulf countries. Sita Ramam is about Lieutenant Ram, who is portrayed by Dulquer Salmaan. Along with Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj and Gautham Menon also have significant supporting roles.

Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions of the Dulquer Salmaan-starring film are made available. The movie's producers are Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, and its director is Hanu Raghavapudi. Vishal Chandrasekhar created the music for Sita Ramam.
