Kanika Kapoor quickly became one of the most controversial figures in Bollywood after the singer tested positive for the Coronavirus. She is the very first Bollywood celebrity to have contracted the virus. Various allegations also surfaced after the signer's diagnosis as she allegedly infected many other people after testing positive.
It's been a couple of weeks now since Kanika Kapoor finally tested negative for the novel Covid-19 virus. She is now resting in self-isolation at her Lucknow home. Kapoor has also shared a new statement on her social media regarding her Coronavirus diagnosis and treatment.
She clarified saying that no one she came in contact with has tested positive for the virus. In her statement, she wrote, "Every person that I have come in contact with be it in UK, Mumbai or Lucknow has shown no symptoms of Covid-19. In fact, all those tested have been negative."
The Baby Doll singer added, "I traveled from the UK to Mumbai on March 10 and was duly screened at the international airport. I traveled to Lucknow the following day on March 11 to see my family. There was no screening set up for domestic flights. On March 14 and 15 I attended a friend's lunch and dinner. There was no party hosted by me and I was in absolute normal health. I had symptoms on March 17 and 18 so I requested to be tested."
Various other celebrities have also tested positive for Coronavirus. This includes Chennai Express producer Karim Morani and his two daughters, Shaza and Zoa. Morani is still undergoing treatment for the virus. Shaza and Zoa have tested negative and are now staying at home.
