Silambarasan AKA Simbu was recently seen in director Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. The film hit the theatres on September 15 and is setting the box office on fire.
In four days, the film went on to collect Rs 50 crore at the box office. Recently, Simbu, Gautham Menon, and the rest of the cast attended the success meet of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.
Speaking at the event, Simbu said, "This is the first time my film has been released without any problems. I was actually surprised. I didn't even know that my film would go on to earn so much. I am very happy that that film has become a huge success. I wanted to change myself and act. Initially, Gautham and I decided to do a love story. After listening to the story, I told him, let's do this. I thank Gautham Menon for this film. And I am grateful to Ishari Ganesh for turning it into a big film. I've lost a lot of weight to play the role. That's why people didn't find reasons to body shame. Please do not body shame anybody. I can take it, but not everyone can. I promise you that I will continue to act in more films. Gautham, let's make Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu with more action."
