Tom Holland started playing the new spiderman since his role in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. Since then Holland's version of spiderman has become one of MCU's much-adored characters.
With the rise of female counterparts such as Thor by Natalie Portman and Kate Bishop as Hawkeye. There has been much talk about one for Holland's spiderman. A replacement of spider woman with Peter Parker. With different female versions of spiderman in the comics, MCU gets much liberty.
The first potential successor is Gwen Stacey. Mikey Sutton a credible insider claims that MCU may introduce Spider Gwen. Yet due to the mixed audience reviews of Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard, Sutton claims that MCU might second guess their choice. They may, however, consider a spin-off of spider Gwen along with "various Young Avengers." says Sutton.
Apart from Gwen being the potential successor to Holland's Spiderman, there is also the choice of Zendaya being the spider woman. These speculations on her deduction skills as shown in the recent Spiderman movies. There also has been the talk of introducing Mary Jane in MCU as a solo character. This will invariably make it easier to separate between Mary Jane Watson and MJ. MCU is still to release official news on this topic.
