Along with the special screening of Egyptian films, there is also another country's films that are gearing up to play in this year's MAMI. They are the movies made in Qatar, another middle eastern country. There are three films playing under this category, 'Special Presentation: Qatar- India 2019 Year Of Culture.'
The films are Embodiment (Tasjeed), Our Time Is Running Out (Waq'tna Yamdi) and Walls. All these are short films which are less than 20 minutes and reflect the culture and tradition of Qatar. All these films will screen at the same time, one after the other.
Among the three, Walls is raising anticipation as Indian originated filmmaker Nibu Vasudevan directed it. Walls is an animated short film that deals with the story of the post-apocalyptic world.
The 21st Mumbai International Film Festival will begin tonight and continues till the 24th of October.
