Shefali Shah Feels Boycott Bollywood Trend Won't Last Long

Shefali Shah has been naiing every single project that she has been part of. Now, the actress is back with the second season of Delhi Crime, in which she will be seen alongside Rajesh Taiang and Rasika Dugal.

When asked about what triggers the trending boycotts of Bollywood films, Shefali Shah told IndiaToday.in, "It's a trend. I don't think it's long-lasting." There have been debates about Bollywood's end but Shefali doesn't agree. When asked that there is a conception that Bollywood is dying, she said, "Really! I don't think it's possible. Films is a culture like cricket. It can't die...it can't. People have their point of view, they have their opinions, but there is also a lot of love and appreciation that we get. I think we should just take it in our stride and just say 'we tried' and we move on."

She added, "The audience was always prepared for it but maybe we underestimated it. Also, we got stuck in a rut of what was required of Bollywood, of blockbuster films etc. With OTT coming in and otherwise, people started telling different stories, which is fantastic, and suddenly it was not about stars anymore. It became about real actors and that is so amazing. These actors break their image to become the characters we love. So, yes, content is king today. There is no debate about it. I think the audience is making it very evident."
