Shah Rukh Khan is the star king of Bollywood. Fans say that there is no other star in Indian cinema as celebrated as 56-year-old Shahrukh. After being away from films for almost five years, Shah Rukh is gearing up for a grand comeback with the film Pathan. Pathan will release in January next year. Apart from this, the actor is also acting in the films Jawaan and Dunki.
There was an incident where Shahrukh, who is known as a professional, stopped shooting at the last stage. Some parts of the movie were shot with a dupe instead of the actor. The incident happened in 1997 during the shooting of the movie Pardes. Shahrukh's wife Gauri was pregnant at that time. The actor went to meet Gauri when the shooting of the song Yeh Dil Deewana was going on. When the shooting came to a standstill, director Subhash Ghai decided to shoot the song scene with Dupe instead of Shah Rukh.
'We had kept this song for the last part. Shahrukh cooperated throughout the film. But when it came to the final part, Shah Rukh had to leave for two days. Gauri was pregnant then. Shahrukh said that he had to go to Delhi urgently and could not delay it for two or three more days. I told him to come at seven in the morning. I told him to give only three close-up shots.' The song was shot in two hours in the morning. There were many locations in that song. All the long shots from the car were done with Shahrukh's dupe. Only close-up shots of Shah Rukh were taken,' the director said in an earlier interview. Gauri Khan was pregnant with her eldest son Aryan Khan in 1997. Shahrukh was even afraid that his wife would die due to complications in childbirth. Due to health problems, Gauri Khan had a cesarean section that day.
