Indian sprinter Milkha Singh, aged 91, died of post Covid-19 complications. Bollywood celebrities paid tribute to the legend.

Captain Milkha Singh is popularly known as the Flying Singh, left for his heavenly abode yesterday (June 18) night. He was 91. His death comes five days after his wife's passing away. The sprinter was diagnosed with Covid-19 and his health deteriorated on Thursday. PM Modi condoled the death of Milkha Singh and wrote,

In the passing away of Shri Milkha Singh Ji, we have lost a colossal sportsperson, who captured the nation’s imagination and had a special place in the hearts of countless Indians. His inspiring personality endeared himself to millions. Anguished by his passing away. pic.twitter.com/h99RNbXI28

Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to pay his last respects to the sprinter. He wrote,

The Flying Sikh may no longer be with us in person but his presence will always be felt and his legacy will remain unmatched... An inspiration to me... an inspiration to millions. Rest in Peace Milkha Singh sir.

Similarly, Priyanka Chopra wrote,
