The discussion about Shah Rukh Khan's part in Brahmastra has been ongoing for months. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, it is one of the most eagerly awaited movies. Since the release of the Brahmastra teaser, rumours have circulated that Shah Rukh Khan will make a cameo appearance in the film. According to these rumours, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor will be portraying the part of "Vanar Astra." King Khan's inclusion in Brahmastra has now been formally verified.
In a recent interview, Mouni Roy, who would be portraying the villain Junoon, the Queen of Darkness, discussed SRK's cameo and said: "When you are working with Ranbir, Alia, Bachchan sir, Nagarjuna sir, Shah Rukh sir has also played a special appearance in it." She added that the part she plays in Brahmastra is among the hardest ones she has ever taken on. "I came on board as a special appearance to it being a longer role, to me becoming the antagonist and the primary villain in the film," the Naagin actress remarked.
The movie will premiere on September 9, 2022. The movie will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam in addition to Hindi. The movie is being presented in all four languages by director SS Rajamouli. The voice of Chiranjeevi may be heard in the Brahmastra trailer in Telugu. Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures are the sponsors of the movie.
In its own cinematic universe called Astraverse, the movie is meant to serve as the first installment of a planned trilogy. Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva was initially scheduled to debut in July 2014 but was postponed by several years. It was filmed in Varanasi, London, New York, Edinburgh, and Bulgaria.
