Sanjay Dutt, who most recently starred with Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor as the antagonist in Karan Malhotra's Shamshera, will next be seen in Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, and Sunny Deol's Ahmed Khan-backed film Baap, directed by Vivek Chauhan. A significant chunk of the film has already been shot, and production will go back up in October of this year. It was recently found that Dutt has approved yet another proposal. We've heard that the actor who plays Khal Nayak is working on an action drama with producer Deepak Mukut.
"Sanjay and Deepak have been looking for a script to adapt for the big screen for a time now, and they have finally found one. While Sanjay and Deepak will collaborate to produce the film, the former will also appear in it. The music for this as-yet-untitled project has already started to be pre-produced. A formal announcement will be released once the entire cast has been cast, according to a person familiar with the project. It is anticipated to go into production this year.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt recently discussed the types of roles he would like to embody on screen in an interview. “I don't like to play all-negative characters. There has to be something about that character so you say yes to playing a negative character. Kancha was absolutely menacing, he was a complex human being. He was a crazy man. He read the Bhagavad Gita according to his own mindset, he interpreted it. And Shuddh Singh is different and Adheera is different. So if you get something like that, then it's fun playing it. Like Thanos from Avengers or the Joker character”, Sanjay Dutt said.
