Samantha Ruth Prabhu And Vijay Deverakonda's Film Khushi To Resume Soon; Former Apologizes To Vijay's Fans

Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced that she would soon begin filming for her Telugu love drama Kushi, in which Vijay Deverakonda will also appear. Samantha had to put all of her work commitments on hold last year while she underwent myositis treatment.

On Wednesday, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's upcoming Telugu love drama Kushi received an update from the actress on Twitter. Samantha apologized to Vijay Deverakonda's fans and said that the film's shooting will soon restart in response to a fan's question. The movie Kushi is Samantha and Vijay's second collaboration following the film Mahanati.

 
When Kushi's name and poster were announced in May of last year, Samantha Ruth Prabhu said it would be a "grand family experience." After finishing the first schedule of the movie in Kashmir, Samantha discovered she had myositis, a rare auto-immune condition. The shooting was thus put on hold. All of Samantha's work commitments had to be put on hold while she received medical care for her condition. As a result, Kushi's filming had to be delayed for a while as the producers waited for new dates from Samantha to start up again.
 
On Wednesday, reacting to a comment from a fan on when she will continue filming for Kushi, Samantha responded, Fans responded to Samantha's message by urging her to put herself first. They described her gesture as being "sweet." One person commented, “Thank you Samantha. But please take care of yourself (sic).” Another one wrote, “Such a sweet gesture (sic).”
 
Samantha's final on-screen appearance was in the Telugu action thriller Yashoda. Samantha portrayed a surrogate mother in the movie who will do anything to keep her child safe. The movie was a success at the box office, earning approximately 33 cr. in its initial 10 days.
 
Samantha became emotional and talked about her health situation during the Yashoda movie's promotions. In an interview with the media last year, she stated, “As I said in my post (Instagram), some days are good, some are bad. Some days, I’ve felt that even taking one more step would be difficult. But when I look back, I wonder I’ve gone through so much and have come this far. I’m here to fight.”
