Samantha Akkineni MIA on Social Media

The global quarantine phase has made us all the more social and public about our lives. Majority of us are sharing how we have been spending time at home. From cooking videos to workout challenges to throwback posts, all of us spend the majority of our time on screens at home. Celebrities, too, have been creating content from home and are keeping us entertained. With little to do at home, most of us would consider this a difficult time to be off social media.

However, South Indian Actress Samantha Akkineni has not been part of this trend. She has a prominent social media presence, and even shows us few intrinsic details of her life. During the lockdown, she decided to take a back seat from all the social media rush. She has not been posting at all during the lockdown, and this has us all worried. She didn’t leave any statement before taking a break from social media. She last posted a story two weeks back, in which she and her loving husband, Naga Chaitanya are seen cooking lunch together, while sipping wine.

The actress’s brother in law, Akhil Akkineni, celebrated his birthday on 8th April, and neither one in the couple posted on social media in regard to this. It looks like she is taking a much-needed detox from the people-pleasing aspect of her job, and enjoying her time in peace. Here’s hoping that she is safe and healthy, and that she will soon be back to update us. She is one of the chirpiest people from the Telugu film industry, and we are missing her good vibes.

The amount of negativity prevalent on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter is making it difficult for us to cope during these testing times. Social media is no longer just an escape or a connecting network space, it is a place for updates and uninformed opinions, and all of us can agree that it is rather important to distance ourselves from this, on a daily basis.

In other news, Samantha is set to feature in Vignesh Shivan's next directorial ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’. She will be sharing the screen with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. She will also be debuting in Bollywood with ‘Family Man Season 2’, starring Manoj Bajpayee.
