Salman Khan has announced that his upcoming event 'Up Close and Personal with Salman Khan' now stands canceled. The Bollywood superstar was set to travel to the USA and Canada for special live events. Now amid the Coronavirus scare the actor has cancelled all his near future events outside the country.
Film and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news about the cancellation on Friday morning. He tweeted writing, "#Update: The #SalmanKhan event - Up, Close & Personal With Salman Khan - to be held in #USA and #Canada from 3 to 12 April 2020 has been postponed. #CoronaVirus #COVID19."
Salman Khan isn't the only actor who has cancelled future events or changed locations for shoots. Varun Dhawan previously changed his marriage venue from Thailand to Rajasthan. Films like the Vin Diesel starrer Fast and Furious 9 have also pushed back their release. Last evening the Delhi government officially announced that all cinema theatres will remain closed until the end of the month. The action has been brought to ensure that the Coronavirus does not spread to more and more people.
Other states like Kerala and Odisha have also put a complete shut down on theatres across the state. Some states have put a partial ban. This is also sure to affect box office collections for other big films like Baaghi 3 which are now stuck amid the global pandemic.
Rohit Shetty has also called off the release of his major upcoming film Sooryavanshi. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Ajay Devgan and Katrina Kaif.
