Sajid Nadiadwala Denies Reports Of Asim Riaz's Debut In Salman Khan's Kick 2

Sajid Nadiadwala, the filmmaker behind the upcoming Salman Khan starrer Kick 2, has denied reports of Bigg Boss 13 runner-up Asim Riaz's Bollywood debut in the film. The rumor started after a report by the Free Press Journal confirmed Asim's role in the movie. However, Nadiadwala's production house, Nadiadwala Grandson, took to Twitter to deny the report. It states that they are still working on the script and that the news is not true. Kick 2 is the much-awaited sequel to Salman's 2014 hit action flick and will see him reunite with Jacqueline Fernandez. No updates have been shared by the film's team. Nadiadwala had previously announced the film on Jacqueline's birthday in 2020 and roped her in for the lead role.

Asim's recent Instagram post, which showed a selfie of himself and was captioned "New beginnings", added fuel to the fire. However, the post is no longer available on his account. According to a source close to Asim, the movie will release in 2024. An official announcement about Asim's role will be made soon. Sajid Nadiadwala had earlier revealed that he is yet to lock in a female co-star for the film and is in the process of finishing the script. He had also announced that Kick 2 would begin shooting in December 2021. Salman Khan is currently enjoying the success of his recent Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which marked Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill's official entry into Hindi films.
