Rishi Kapoor's film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' will be completed by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar

Recently Bollywood lost one of its most prized gems: Rishi Kapoor. He passed away after two years of struggling with leukemia. Fans and celebrities mourned this loss greatly. Kapoor was a part of many big hits of Bollywood including Bobby (1973), Deewana (1992), Kapoor and sons (2016), Mera Naam Joker (1970), etc. He was in the middle of working on his last work 'Sharmaji Namkeen' when this tragedy struck. The movie has Kapoor as the lead. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar it is a part of their Excel Entertainment.

Only a few days of shooting was to finish and the film was almost stepping into the production stage. The further plans of the film are, a source says that 'Rishi Kapoor was the main protagonist of the film and major part of was already shot with only a few days of shooting remaining for the actor. Being that it was Rishi Kapoor’s last project that was near completion, Ritesh and Farhan are determined to make sure that the film gets released.'

They continued, "The microscopic details of how Ritesh and Farhan intend to bring the film to completion are in the works but rest assured that the film will get completed and see a theatrical release.” Both the producers are trying their best to do justice to its completion without the main star.

The film also includes Juhi Chawla. It is done in association with Honey Teheran and Abhishek Choubey. It is Hitesh Bhatia’s first work. We would love to see Rishi Kapoor one last time on the silver screen.
