Rishab Shetty Talks About Receiving Praise From Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan For Kantara

Rishab Shetty is a Kannada actor. Despite having several hit films under his credit, it was Kantara that catapulted him to fame. The film graced the theatres on September 30 and is now a sleeper hit. Rishab Shetty wrote, directed, and acted in Kantara, which crossed over Rs 400 crore worldwide at the box office. From Hrithik Roshan to Dhanush, celebrities took to social media to congratulate the makers of Kantara. Two of the biggest superstars, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth spoke to Rishab Shetty after watching Kantara. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages. Kantara is produced by Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films.

In a special interview with Netlfix, Rishab said, "Rajini sir is a mass-appealing superstar and on the other hand is Kamal sir, who we consider the God of performance. The kind of content that he brought to the Indian film industry is very inspirational. I felt the same kind of energy from both of them. I had a one-hour discussion with Rajini sir at his house. We discussed a lot about scenes and he appreciated my performance." Speaking about his conversation with Kamal Haasan, Rishab said, "After watching the film, Kamal sir called me. Legendary filmmaker Girish Karnad’s Kaddu was also about the forest. Kamal sir did a movie (Thevar Magan) taking inspiration from that film. He told me about that inspiration. And he also said Kantara will also be an inspiration. When he called me, I was vibrating and shivering a lot."
