Rishab Shetty Reacts To Kantara Hindi Remake And Staying Away From Non-veg

Rishab Shetty's Kantara is performing well at the box office in all languages. The film features Achyuth Kumar, Kishore, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty in lead roles. Now, talks about the film getting a possible Hindi remake are doing the rounds. In a recent interview, Rishab Shetty spoke about staying away from non-veg and Hindi remakes.

In an interview with The Times of India, Rishab Shetty said, "Acting part was definitely the toughest. Not because of expressing but the action sequences. Especially the 50-60 kgs weight that I had to carry during the Daiv Kola sequence. I had quit eating non-veg 20-30 days before shooting that sequence. After I put on the Daiv Kola Alankar, I would not consume anything except coconut water. They would give me a prasad before and after doing the sequence. To play such characters you have to believe in the roots and culture. There are many big actors in the Hindi film industry whom I admire. But I am not interested in remakes."

When asked if Kantara could be remade in Hindi, Rishab said, "To play such characters you have to believe in the roots and culture. I am not interested in remakes. Our priority is to make a film about our soil, tradition, and culture in coastal Karnataka that regions outside of the stated are not aware of.
