Rhea Chakraborty receives rape & murder threats after Sushant Singh's suicide, asks cybercrime bureau for help

After the unexpected demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, shockwaves surrounded the nation as people couldn't come in terms with the news of his suicide. The 34-year old actor had hanged himself in his residence in Bandra. No suicide note was found from his room and people were left guessing the possible reasons for the actor taking such drastic measures. While Sushant never came out openly about his relationship status, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty stood by the actor through thick and thin.

However, the actress shares a screenshot of the rape and murder threats she's been receiving from people accusing her of Chhichhore actor's demise. While sharing the screenshot, she wrote, "I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet. I was called a murderer. I kept quiet. I was slut-shamed. I kept quiet. But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut? She further adds, "Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment. I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindiato please take necessary action. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH." Soon after Rhea's post, support came pouring in for the actress from her friends and colleagues. They all called her very strong and asked her to report such threats for her safety. Kriti Kharbanda expressed her concern and wrote, "Disgusted and appalled."
