Reports Claim That Rana Daggubati Will Play Simbu’s Role In Maanadu’s Telugu Remake
Maanadu became one of the strongest movies of 2021 with a solid box office showing. The Telugu remake of the hit will see Ranu Daggubati and not Naga Chaitanya play the role of Simbu.
Venkat Prabhu's 'Maanaadu,' starring SJ Suryah and Simbu, was a 2021 hit. When it was released in theatres on November 25, the film received critical praise and grossed more than Rs 100 crore at the box office. The film is a science fiction thriller that was the first in Tamil cinema to focus on the time-loop premise.
The film was only released in Tamil yet quickly became a blockbuster throughout India. Suresh Daggubati later purchased the remake rights to 'Maanaadu' in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada in January 2022. There is a new rumor that actor Rana Daggubati may play Simbu in the Telugu version of the film. According to sources, the original idea was to cast Naga Chaitanya, but it has now been revealed that Rana Daggubati will reprise the role.
The film will begin production when Venkat Prabhu finishes filming for his project opposite Naga Chaitanya. The film's producers have yet to make an official statement.
The film 'Maanadu,' directed by Suresh Kamatchi, stars Simbu, SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, Y Gee Mahendran, Premgi, Karunakaran, and Manoj Bharathiraja. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film's soundtrack and background score.
