Renowned French actress Isabelle to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at IFFI

The 50th edition of International Film Festival of India honours the French actress Isabelle with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Renowned French actress Isabelle to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at IFFI

The state of Goa is all set to host the 50th edition of the International Film Festival of India this year. The prestigious film festival kickstarts on the 20th of this month and will conclude on the 28th. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry of India are making some big plans to make this edition a grand one.

 
They are paying tribute to legendary actor and the latest Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Amitabh Bachchan by screening his best films and also conferring Rajinikanth with a special award called 'Icon of Golden Jubilee of IFFI.' They have selected iconic French actress Isabelle Huppert for the Lifetime Achievement Award this year.
 
Isabelle as acted in over 120 films in her 47-year-old career. The 66-year-old actress is one of the most celebrated actresses in the world cinema. She was a nominee of the Cesar Award 16 times, which is the most for any actor. She won it twice in 16 times. She won a total of 102 awards in her entire career.
 
Isabelle also won a Golden Globe award for her performance in the 2016 film Elle. The very same film earned her a nomination for Best Actress in the Oscars. The award at IFFI will be her first Lifetime Achievement Award.
