Ranveer Singh started hosting game shows on television at the beginning of this year. Another first for the actor came this month when his expedition with Bear Grylls was released as a Netflix special, marking his entry into the online space. The interactive Netflix event, titled "Ranveer Vs. Wild," has received a ton of attention since it aired, and Ranveer's frank personality has also been well-received.
Ranveer is obviously overjoyed at the response to his exploits with Bear Grylls. Ranveer made the following comment about the situation: "I'm very happy to see the amazing viewership figures that have been shared with me. My mentor Aditya Chopra informed me at the beginning of my career that I have the type of personality that will make people love me more when I interact with them via my (off-screen) character. I've treasured his prophecy over the years".
Although Ranveer loved filming in the risky yet exhilarating environment, the actor has no immediate plans to experiment in the online space. "I have started to think that people appreciate seeing my off-screen demeanor, but I am most at ease portraying characters in movies," the actor remarked when asked about his online space presence.
My major focus still goes to the big-screen options. Having said that, I'm appreciative that the OTT platform has given me the chance to charm and amuse the public.
