This veteran actress has acted in more than 1400 films in the career spanning over 50 years. She is mostly known for her supporting roles in various hit films. She is also the Telugu actress who acted in the most number of films. Today, Rama Prabha celebrates her 73rd birthday. On this occasion, here is an insight into her career.

 
Rama Prabha made her debut with the 1964 film Server Sundaram. In that movie, she played the role of KR Vijaya's friend. After that, she acted in various films like Chilaka Gorinka, Nindu Samsaram, Akka Chellellu, Bomma Borusa, and Thatha Manavadu. By the early 1970s, she has become a popular supporting artist in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. She made a good pair with comedian Raja Babu. Both of them acted in various films during the 1970s and 80s. Rama Prabha has also acted in quite a few Hindi films as well. She had married noted actor Sharath Babu, who is five years younger to her. Eventually, the couple had divorced after a few years of married life.
 
In the 2000s, Rama Prabha mostly acted in the mother and grandmother roles. Her performances in the films like Kalisundam Raa, Badri, Devadasu, Desamuduru, Neninthe, Adhurs, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and Temper, received a wide appreciation from the audiences. Among the young generation of directors, Puri Jagannadh managed to give some of the memorable roles for Rama Prabha. She currently resides at her hometown Vayalapadu, near Madana Palle.
