Puneeth Rajkumar To Be Cremated On Sunday At Kanteevara Stadium In Bengaluru

Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar is fondly called Power Star and Appu by his fans. He was the son of Kannada icon Dr. Rajkumar and Parvathamma. On October 29, Puneeth Rajkumar suffered a massive heart attack and breathed his last at Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru. He was brought to Vikram hospital in a non-responsive state. Even though the doctors tried their best, they couldn't save them. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that Puneeth Rajkumar will be cremated on October 31, Sunday, with full honors. His remains have been kept at Kanteerava Stadium for public homage.

A statement from the Vikram Hospital read, "Mr. Puneet Rajkumar, aged 46 years, was brought to Vikram Hospital on 29/10/21 with a diagnosis of heart attack with ECG done by a family doctor. At the time of arrival to the emergency, the patient was non-responsive and was in cardiac asystole. Hence, immediate advanced cardiac life support measures were initiated for resuscitation. Despite prolonged advanced and aggressive measures, the patient continued to be non-responsive and asystolic. The panel of medical experts extended all efforts to save him. He was declared at 2.30 pm on 29.10.2021 (sic)."
