Protestors halted the shooting of Shah Rukh Khan's film Dunki at Jabalpur. Shah Rukh Khan's next movie "Pathaan" scandal is still making headlines. Karni Sena members demonstrated against Deepika Padukone's dresses in the film. They protest the use of the saffron color in the "Pathaan" song "Besharam Rang." The protesters also halted Shah Rukh's "Dunki" filming in Bhedaghat, close to Jabalpur.
The Karni Sena members were also spotted chanting the Hanuman Chalisa. They were also raising slogans for hours. Protestors were also holding black and saffron flags in their hands. In Bhedaghat, a large police presence was present to contain the situation. According to the demonstrators, the "Dunki" producers stopped shooting for 10 minutes. Despite the threats, the shooting went on even after the allotted time.
The demonstrators said Shah Rukh Khan and the "Pathaan" producers had depicted the saffron color in the movie in an "indecent and unpleasant" manner. They said that this constituted something unacceptable. They also requested that filming for these kinds of movies stop on the banks of the revered Narmada River. The demonstrators also insisted that the location where the movie was shot should be cleaned. They wanted it cleaned by spraying it with cow urine (Gomutra). In the meantime, the Karni Sena staged a protest against "Pathan" in Lucknow in addition to Bhedaghat.
The song "Besharam Rang" from "Pathan" starring Shah Rukh Khan was released earlier this week. The video for the song features Deepika Padukone in some amazing bikinis. The video was shot in an exotic locale in Spain. The song features the voices of Shilpa Rao, Caralisa Monteiro, Vishal, and Shekhar. Her orange bikini, however, sparked outrage on social media. Many Hindu organizations claimed the song offended the saffron color and Hindu sentiments.
