Preity Zinta expressed her happiness over Nirbhaya case closure; felt that justice would have got served long back

After seven long years, the convicts of the 2012 Delhi rape case got hanged today this morning. After many postponements and trails, all the four convicts got hanged earlier this morning in Tihar Jail. Thus, justice got served to Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi who relentlessly fought for the case all these years. Meanwhile, some of the people thought that justice came in very late while some others felt happy that at least it got served finally. Actress Preity Zinta also expressed her happiness over justice. But she felt that it's too late. She opined that an early justice would have kept lawless in check. Yesterday, when it got announced that therapists are going to get hanged, Preity tweeted, "Thanks 2R outdated Legal system & in the name of human rights these inhuman rapists still get 2appeal & live 8yrs after committing unimaginable crimes. This morning, she tweeted, "Finally, the #Nirbhayacase comes to an end. I wish it would have been faster but I’m happy it’s over. "If #Nirbhaya rapists were hung in 2012 the judicial system would have stopped so much crime against women. Fear of the law would have kept lawless in check. Prevention is always better than cure.
