Prabhas romantic entertainer Darling release marks a decade; Prabhas teamed up with Kajal for the first time

Rebel Star Prabhas has a filmography of mixed genres. Prabhas actually tries to experiment with the subject throughout his career. This is also might be the reason why it took such a long time for him to get the stardom. One of his which was quite considerably talked about is 'Darling'. This film came right after 'Ek Niranjan', which was a messy entertainer and which didn't work out. Being directed by Karunakaran of 'Toliprema', 'Balu', 'Ullasamga Utsahamga', it was quite a leap for Prabhas to work with him, as he didn't make proper romantic entertainer since 'Varsham '. But, the film turned out to be unexpectedly good and became a box-office hit, reviving Prabhas from his previous flop.

With Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, the film's music is done by G.V. Prakash and was chartbuster at that time. Songs like 'Neeve', 'Hoshaore' were most played songs on the radio station & music channels. Despite being a rom-com, the film went on to attract a family audience too. Darling was the first time for Prabhas film, as the second half of the film deals with the family emotions & drama, thus making it a wholesome entertainer. And not to forget the massive fight in the second half, composed by Peter Hein, which stood out in the whole film.
