Gal Gadot, Pedro Pascal among other stars are busy promoting the upcoming Wonder Woman film. During a recent interview, Pedro Pascal has dropped hints that Wonder Woman 1984 will be full of surprises. Pascal plays Maxwell Lord in the film and is one of the main villains that Diana will have to face.
While sitting in an interview with Entertainment weekly, Pedro Pascal said that he himself felt nostalgic for a lot of the scenes in the film. The actor said, “I’ve seen some of the movies and I know the way that it stimulates my personal nostalgia — I was born in 1975 — and this movie reminds me of something that would have come out in the ’80s and that kind of delight, pure delight. There is something that feels more precious about this experience than other experiences of mine wherein I really, really don’t want to tell you anything about it. I don’t want to ruin the experience, like what the surprises are in terms of the plot, and what all the characters go through, the new adventure that [Wonder Woman is] on, how Steve Trevor comes back, and how does she become Cheetah? Etcetera etcetera… it is all kind of like, just wait.”
Wonder Woman 1984 is set in the early 80s. The events in the film take place before both the Justice League and Batman Vs Superman. However, there is very little known about the film's story. Of course, it is well known that Cheetah and Maxwell Lord are the main villains in the film.
The film's trailer earlier left fans with a lot of questions. Including the return of Steve Trevor who previously died at the end of the first Wonder woman film. Pedro Pascal's character Maxwell Lord had presumed to be behind this supposed return from the dead.
