Pawan Kalyan Fans Damage Theatre At 'Jalsa' Re-release

Pawan Kalyan's 2008 film 'Jalsa' was rereleased in some theatres around the world on his birthday. As part of the actor's birthday celebrations, fans flocked to theatres to see their favorite star onscreen.

Overzealous fans recently damaged a theatre in Visakhapatnam during a screening of 'Jalsa.' Despite the fact that the theatre has not filed an official complaint, images and videos of the damage caused by the rowdy patrons have gone viral on social media.

The theatre manager expressed his displeasure with the incident and urged fans not to behave inappropriately in theatres.

''We’re working in Sree Leela Mahal Theatre in Vizag. As per fans’ request, Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa was screened in our theatre. We really feel like fans overstepped the bounds when they started behaving in strange ways. We were not able to stop them from going crazy. Even the cops did not cooperate with us. The screen was torn. The seats were broken. We have suffered property damage of around Rs 20 lakhs. To what extent Pawan Kalyan's fans are following the message given by him? Do they really want to bring a good name to Pawan Kalyan? We don't have any donors to support us by giving me a single penny. We have been gradually recovering from the Coronavirus pandemic. Now it will take a month to repair our theatre and need to spend money to renovate it. We will not have salaries and allowances during this month. Who will support us?'' the manager said in a message posted on social media

'Jalsa,' directed by Trivikram Srinivas, also stars Pawan Kalyan, Ileana D'Cruz, Parvati Melton, Kamalinee Mukerji, Mukesh Rishi, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, and Ali. The film's composer is Devi Sri Prasad, and it is produced by Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts.
