Pathu Thala Producer Issues Statement After Simbu's Film Becomes a Hit

Silambarasan is enjoying all the attention coming his way for his performance in Pathu Thala. Directed by Obeli N Krishna, the film is a Tamil remake of Kannada film, Mufti, which had Shiva Rajkumar in lead role. The producer of Pathu Thala, KR Gnanavelraja, shared a statement after the film's successful run.

The statement read, "Our film Pathu Thala today entered 2nd week in over 300 screens in Tamil Nadu and across the globe in over 500 screens. It gives us great happiness to see our film getting such a raving response from audience. We wish to thank whole-heartedly the fans of Silambarasan (STR) and the general audience for this support to our film. We also wish to thank reviewers and media for their phenomenal encouragement, which boosted the film's appeal." He also added, "The film Pathu Thala has earned one of the highest revenues in Silambarasan's career. It became a hugely profitable venture for our production. We are thankful to Silambarasan (STR) for being a part of this film and helping us to achieve this through his wonderful support during the audio launch event. They became a sensation and helped the film in many ways in achieving its success. Our special thanks and gratitude to A.R. Rahman sir, who amidst his busy schedules, supported our film in every way.
