The long-awaited Pathonpathaam Noottandu trailer from director Vinayan is finally ready. This Malayalam historical action play transports us to 19th-century Kerala and discusses societal injustice and the caste system that was in place at the time, which included untouchables.
Siju Wilson appears in the video as a powerful warrior who battles against immoral social norms. Since the trailer's premiere, moviegoers have been eager to watch the whole drama in theaters on September 8th, this year, to celebrate the auspicious event of Onam.
Pathonpathaam Noottandu, a movie produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the name Sree Gokulam movies, stars Siju Wilson as the social reformer and Ezhava chieftain Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker. In addition to the others, the cast of the movie also has Anoop Menon, Kayadu Lohar, Indrans, Sudhev Nair, Vishnu Vinayan, and Gokulam Gopalan, in important roles. The film was co-produced by VC Praveen and Baiju Gopalan, with Krishnamoorthy serving as executive producer.
Regarding the technical team, Santosh Narayanan created the background score, and M Jayachandran contributed the songs for the film. Vivek Harshan oversaw the film's editing while Shaji Kumar was in charge of the camera work.
"Vinayan sir is such a good director, and I really feel lucky to be part of Vinayan sir's magnum opus Pathonpatham Noottandu," Niya Sankarathil said earlier in an interview with ETimes about her experience working with the seasoned director Vinayan.
She was cited as adding, "Vinayan sir gave me a rough description of my character over the phone." in addition to providing some details about her character Velutha. Later during the shoot time, he guided me well through my character. Truth to be said, I am really excited for the film to hit screens.”
