Popular Malayalam director Sachy has passed away a couple of days ago. This news came in as a huge shocker for all the Malayalam film industry members as well as the audiences. He was just 49 and died due to a cardiac arrest. His last film Ayyappanum Koshiyum is one of the biggest blockbusters in Malayalam in recent times. It is now getting remade into Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Apparently, Sachy considered Parthiban and Karthi as the best choices for the Tamil remake of this movie.
According to the sources, Sachy thought that these two actors will do justice to the roles of Ayyappan and Koshi. The original version featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The Tamil remake rights of the movie got bagged by popular producer Kathiresan. He is yet to finalize the lead actors and the director of the remake. We have to see if he goes with the choices of Sachy.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum is a tale of egos between two individuals, Ayyappan and Koshi. Though the story is mainstream, the way it got handled by Sachy made a difference on the big screen. That is the reason why it became a huge success at the box office.
The Telugu remake rights of the film got bagged by Sithara Entertainments. Rana Daggubatiand Ravi Teja are in consideration for the lead roles. The Hindi remake rights got grabbed by John Abraham. He will be playing one of the leads in it and the other hero is yet to get finalized.
