OTT Platform Acquires 'Maaveran' And 'Captain Miller' Digital Rights

Actors Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan have recently been the most renowned stars of Kollywood. And the actors have been stunning the public and fans with their performance with each part they take on in a movie since their debut.

Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming films, 'Naane Varuven and 'Prince,' will release in theatres on September 29 and October for Diwali 2022. Following this, Dhanush has 'Captain Miller,' and Sivakarthikeyan has 'Maaveran,' both of which will hit theatres next year. The latest development is that a national OTT platform has purchased digital premiere rights for both films. The films will release next year. 'Captain Miller,' directed by Arun Matheswaran, is his third film and is described as an action-adventure picture set in the 1930s. The Muhurat pujah for the film was recently held, and even before the film’s shooting is complete, a national OTT platform reportedly purchased the digital rights to the movie for a whopping Rs 38 crore. According to rumors, the same OTT portal has also purchased Sivakarthikeyan's film 'Maaveran,' which was directed by Madonne Ashwin of 'Mandela fame. The film, which stars Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar in prominent roles, just started production in Chennai.
