On Janmashtami, Karthikeya 2 Surpasses Laal Singh Chaddha And Raksha Bandhan.

Karthikeya 2, a Hindi-dubbed Telugu release that debuted at Rs. 7 lakh in the Hindi belt, defeated major Bollywood films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan on Friday at the box office, shocking everyone once again. Given that Karthikeya 2 scored its biggest single day collections for the Hindi version on day 7, and considering that it is anticipated to outperform Friday numbers on Saturday and Sunday, the movie is on the crest of a wave and it is tough to forecast where it will land on the weekend.

Karthikeya 2's Friday box office performance significantly increased thanks to the Janmashtami holiday. On Friday compared to Thursday, the movie's revenue increased by almost 90%, and compared to day one, it increased by more than 2500%. The movie had a carefully regulated release on 50 screens, and by the second week, it was showing on more than 1000. It is amazing that Karthikeya 2's Hindi-dubbed version performed better on Friday than Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha each contributed Rs. 1.10 crore. It is possible that Karthikeya 2 will bring in more money than both movies combined based on Saturday's advancements. The film's journey and the direction it will take over its entire run will be revealed by Karthikeya 2's Monday box office performance. It will encounter competition from Liger next week, but it should be able to keep its place because it is Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan that will lose screens, not Karthikeya 2.

After 9 days, Laal Singh Chaddha's domestic gross is just over 52 crore rupees, whereas Raksha Bandhan has a pitiful total of 38.40 cr. At the Indian box office, both movies are a total failure. Laal Singh Chaddha is performing somewhat better abroad, though not nearly to the level expected.
