Manam remains as one of the most memorable films for the Akkineni heroes and the Telugu audiences as well. Featuring all the three-generation heroes of Akkineni family, Nageshwara Rao, Nagarjuna, and Naga Chaitanya, this film was a blockbuster success at the box office. After that, many filmy families have planned to do such a film together. A few reports suggested that Superstar Krishna was also planning to make a film like Manam.
According to those reports, Superstar Krishna, his son Mahesh Babu and his grandson Gautham planned to do a film together and make it a memorable one for their fans. But a close source to Krishna's family has revealed that the Ghattamaneni actors have no such plans and they will not be doing a film like Manam.
Already, Krishna and Mahesh Babu have acted together in films like Poratam, Koduku Diddina Kapuram, Rajakumarudu, and Vamsi. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu and Gautham have acted together in a sequence in the film 1: Nenokkadine. Partially, they have acted together in the past and felt that there is no need to act in another film. Moreover, Gautham is still a school going child and thus, Mahesh has no plans of making any film with him right now. Right now, Mahesh is prepping up to start the works of his next film, which will go on floors in April.
