No film shoots will happen till July, says the Tollywood sources

The coronavirus pandemic is affecting the entire world severely. More than 2.5 million people got infected with the virus until now. Around 2 lakh people have lost their lives. At this point, it seems like there is no stopping for it anytime soon. One of the most affected industries due to the pandemic is the film industry. All the film productions have stalled, releases got postponed and the theatres got shut. The latest sources from the Telugu film industry state that there will be no shootings till July. Even if the lockdown gets lifted, the industry bigwigs are planning not to take the films on floors very soon.

A film shooting includes a minimum of 90 people and it may extend to 300 people. Every shooting spot includes a mass gathering of the technicians, actors, and other film workers. Without any one of them, no shooting will take place. Resuming the shoots right after the lockdown gets lifted may cause trouble due to these mass gatherings. Thus, the industry bigwigs are planning to resume the shooting works only after July. However, this is a tentative decision and it may change according to the situation in the society.

Meanwhile, we are yet to get clarity on the reopening of the theatres. Many films got done with their works and are lying under cans, waiting to get released. Films like V, Aranya, Orey Bujjiga, Red, Master, and Nishabdham will be the front liners to hit the screens once the lockdown gets over.
