Netflix bagged the post theatrical streaming rights of the Maari Selvaraj movie, Maamannan. Keerthy Suresh plays the lead role in Maamannan, which was directed by Maari Selvaraj.

The shoot of the movie has already been concluded and it is currently under post production stage. Udhayanidhi Stalin and Keerthy Suresh play the key characters in "Maamannan," which is billed as a sociopolitical drama. Fahadh Faasil portrays the villain, and Vadivelu plays a crucial role as a politician and Udhayanidhi's father. The crew of Maamannan recently helped in renovating a school in which they shot the film in Salem. Vadivelu recently joined the actors and crew of "Maamannan" on the sets to celebrate his birthday. Keerthy Suresh posted pictures of the event and commented, "Super glad to wrap up #Maamannan along with Vaigai Puyal Vadivel sir's birthday. Happy Birthday sir." The cast of "Maamannan" also observed Onam on the movie sets earlier this week.
