Nayanthara has a lot going on. Looks like her upcoming film has finally announced a release date. The actress is starring in a film produced by her boyfriend Vignesh Shivan. The film titled Netrikann will have a theatrical release on August 15th, 2020.
According to sources, Netrikann is an adaptation of the Korena film Blind. Blind is a crime thriller film that revolves around two crimes - a missing persons report and a hit and run case. Nayanthara will be appearing in the role of a police cadet who goes blind after an accident. The first look poster hinted at the fact that the protagonist might be visually challenged as the title was written in Braille. Director Milind Rau is directing the film. Vignesh Shivan's home banner Rowdy Pictures will be producing the film.
Apart from Nayanthara, the film also stars Ajmal Ameer. Ajmal Ameer was last seen in Devi 2. the actor will be playing a pivotal role. Along with the human cast members, a dog is all said to star in the film. The dog will be embodying the role of a guide dog.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara is looking forward to the release of her upcoming film Mookuthi Amman. She will be taking on the title role in the film. Apart from Nayanthara, the film will also star RJ Balaji, Smruthi Venkat, and Urvashi. Mookuthi Amman is the directorial debut of RJ Balaji. N. J. Saravanan is the co-director. Ishari K Ganesh is producing the film. Girishh G will be composing a film's score.
