Nayanthara And Vignesh Shivan Address Their Surrogacy; Disclose Their Registered Marriage Six Years Ago

The birth of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's twin twins through surrogacy stirred controversy as the Tamil Nadu government requested an investigation. The Tamil Nadu government announced that they will launch an investigation to see if the couple had broken any surrogacy rules. After the investigation, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan filed an affidavit in which they stated that they had been married for six years and had welcomed twins via a surrogate who is a relative.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan stated in an affidavit that their union had been registered six years before their spectacular wedding on June 9, 2022, in Mahabalipuram. The couple also produced their marriage license as evidence. The fact that the surrogate is a family member from Dubai was also disclosed by the couple. Additionally, they mentioned that they applied for surrogacy in December 2021, just a few weeks before the practice was outlawed in India. Surrogacy has been prohibited in India since January 2022, except for situations where a medical issue prevents a couple from having children. After dating for around five years, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married this past June. Vignesh posted on social media on Sunday to share the news that they had twin boys. He tweeted, "Nayan & Me have become Amma & Appa. We are blessed with twin baby boys", along with a photo of him and Nayanthara caressing their sons' feet. Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan is embracing fatherhood despite the uproar. He just published a photo of his son peed on his clothing on Instagram with the caption, "Dream come true... My son's love on me." Nayanthara is now making her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan's movie Jawan. The eagerly anticipated movie also represents King Khan's first cooperation with famous director Atlee. Along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, she co-stars in the upcoming Malayalam movie Gold. Vignesh Shivan, on the other side, will next direct Ajith Kumar in the project currently called AK61.
