Lijo Jose Pellissery's film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam will hit theatres soon. The film is the most awaited film of moviegoers. Mammootty plays the lead role in the film. The film had world premiere at the recently held Kerala International Film Festival. The film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam also won the audience acceptance award. The makers have not announced the release date of the film except that it will arrive soon. Movie lovers are waiting for it as the announcement came.
A feature of Mayakkam is the different levels of presentation and character creation. Reportedly, Lijo has made the film with a different approach from the previous films. Mammootty plays a theatre troupe owner named James. James is very different from the characters that Mammooty has played so far in his career. He has managed to bring that variety to his performances as well. This is Mammootty's first film produced under Mammootty Kampany, Nankakal Neerath Mayakam. The film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam will be released by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films.
Ramya Pandian, Ashokan, Kainakari Thangaraj, Suresh Babu, Chetan Jayalal, Ashwant Ashok Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, the late Tamil actor Poo Ramu, and others have played important roles in the film. The cinematography of the film is by Theni Eshwar; editing is by Deepu S. Joseph. The screenplay and dialogues are by S. Harish for the story by Lijo Jose Pellissery.
