Naane Varuven: Dhanush’s Upcoming Movie Will Likely Clash In Theatres With Ponniyin Selvan

Dhanush is presently filming his multilingual feature 'Vaathi,' which he co-wrote with Venky Atluri. His films 'The Gray Man' and 'Thiruchitrambalam,' set to be released on July 22 and August 18, respectively, will soon be seen on the big screen. Dhanush's Hollywood debut is 'The Gray Man,' which will air directly on the global OTT platform.

Meanwhile, Dhanush's film 'Naane Varuven,' directed by Selvaragahvan, is now in post-production and is set to hit theatres on September 30. According to reports, Dhanush and Selvaraghavan's film would collide with Mani Ratnam's epic opus 'Ponniyin Selvan 1'. However, no official statement has been made by the film's producers about the premiere date of 'Naane Varuven.' According to media sources, the trailer for 'Naane Varuven' will release on Dhanush's birthday, July 28th. It is also likely that the audio release of 'Thiruchitrambalam' will take place on July 28. Dhanush will begin filming for the film 'Captain Miller,' directed by Arun Matheswaran, after completing 'Vaathi.' In 2021, Arun Matheswaran made his directorial debut with the film 'Rocky,' and his second film was 'Saani Kaayidham,' starring Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan. Both of the director's films were successful, and 'Captain Miller is his third picture.
